"I just wanted to thank you for the [Whirly Wisp] cables. I
burned them in over the last month and holy $%^&! My last experience
with upgraded cables were some Monster speaker cables I got as a
gift nearly 20 years ago. I finally got the time and money to
upgrade my old system and wanted to try out some nicer interconnects
for the new components and system. YACCo cables [Whirly Wisps] were
the perfect introduction to the higher end market. I have to say
that I was skeptical, but have now heard a clear difference... I
will be trying your speaker cables during my next upgrade. Thanks
again,"- Ron S.
These 'Shootout' comments
discuss the final round between the two best performing cables, the
Cauda Equinas and another brand. The entire shootup consisted of
cables costing up to slightly more than $2000. The brand-name was omitted at the
customer's request. Note, the below shootout was done with a
shotgun biwire pair of Cauda Equinas.
"I just
finished the shoot-out between your cables and the [other brand].
The two cables are exactly alike in terms of clarity, microdynamics,
macrodynamics, soundstage width, soundstage height and midrange
performance. The [other brand] had a minor edge in soundstage depth
and bass extension. The Equinas clearly outclasses them in all
aspects of treble performance. The upper region was as smooth as
glass; not as in rolled off, but as in "liquid"! The treble had all
the extension I could ask for but without a hint of grain. It was
like comparing very good digital to analog (no contest really). All
of this with a black background while still maintaining air around
the instruments in a totally cohesive soundstage. The Equinas
allowed me to relax into the music more. The sonic picture they
painted was more real.
Needless to say, your cables are the winner!!!! They earned a
permanent place in my system. Congratulations on an excellent
product! I must admit though, midway through the break-in, I didn't
think they had a chance. The background was still "whitish", and the
bass extension and impact couldn't hold a candle to the other
cables. When you told me the background would improve, but the
dynamics wouldn't, I thought it was a done deal. Fortunately, you
were only half right. The background did improve, but more
impressively, so did the bass! It was a serious improvement that put
them not just back in the race, but in front of the race!
Isaac, thanks for a wonderful set of cables. You should be extremely
proud of your accomplishment. I am proud to own them.
Thanks again for everything. It was a pleasure doing business and
corresponding with you.
...By the way, your cables are the most visually appealing of all
the cables. They look like jewelry. Good job!
Sincerely, KG"
"I've
been using these little wonders in my system (Denon/Music
Angel/Cambridge Audio/Dahlquist) for a few months now. They replaced
comparable silver IC's. The Wisps just sound right. I don't
feel like I'm missing anything nor hearing anything I shouldn't.
What more can you ask of an interconnect? Thanks for a great
product." Lee P.
"My
Whirly Wisps replaced another set of silver IC's. I made those
myself using silver IC wire from a DIY supplier. I used the same
connectors as the Whirly Wisps. The Whirly Wisps outshine the IC's I
made myself and the cost was the same! I'm running through a pc, an
outboard DAC, a tubed single-ended amp and highly regarded horn
speakers. The Wisps have deeper bass, a smoother and more open sound
and their timbre is more natural than the silver IC's they replaced.
They are lively and musical- a good sense of pace, rhythm and
timing. Such a deal!" - Lance P.
"Cables
are wonderful!! Totally opened my system up. I couldn't believe how
much more dynamic it was. Much cleaner sound. Plan on purchasing a
couple more pair in next couple weeks so get ready !!! I didn't
realize how much I wasn't hearing even with good ICS."

"Your silver cables would be worth [a 14-16 hour] drive [to
hear]! They are working great with the WA6 and my HEV70. Good job,
very balanced sound that I didn't expect from silver! Maybe there is
something to the "teflon air-tube dielectric" concept…Your RCA
interconnects between source and WA6 were fantastic, and [we] were
very impressed." - Larry G.
"These replaced a pair of Belden 89259 cables terminated with
Eichmann Bullets... I certainly like what you've got here and...
they'll be staying where they are." - Eric A.
